1. You can now send in your contribution to CSF right up to April 15, the deadline for filing your previous year’s tax return and still claim the credit on that tax return. You can, of course, contribute any time during the current year, as has always been the case.

2. Talk to your employer. You can ask them to deduct your contribution to CSF from your paycheck. Then send that amount to CSF as you get paid. Also, they might automatically send the funds to CSF when you get paid.

School tuition organizations cannot award, restrict or reserve scholarships solely on the basis of donor recommendation. A taxpayer may not claim a tax credit if the taxpayer agrees to swap donations with another taxpayer to benefit either taxpayer's own dependent.
